Mindful Movement Yoga with Jo
How do you feel about your body? Do you enjoy as full a range of movement and strength as you would like? How about your mind? Is it calm and focused?
I am a Yoga and Mindfulness teacher and have found a way of working with people in my classes that helps them come home to their bodies and calm their minds.
These are fairly dynamic classes but I am very able when it comes to managing mixed ability groups so please don't be afraid to come and try even if you are completely new to Yoga. You do need to be able to bear some weight through your wrists though and get up and down from the floor even if it takes some doing. It will all get easier with practice I promise!
So if you are looking for a class that will help you develop strength, mobility and flexibility, as well as give you some time to breathe and step out of your busy life and mind then this might be just the thing.
I have temporarily suspended all face to face yoga classes and replaced them with online classes. These are available to access using a video conferencing tool called Zoom.
These are mixed ability classes and given the limitations of the medium you will be exercising at your own risk.
Classes available currently are:
Monday evenings 5.30 - 6.30 pm and 7.00 - 8.00 pm
Wednesday mornings 9.30 - 10.30 am
Thursday evenings 5.45 - 6.45 and 7.00 - 8.00 pm
Saturday mornings 9.30 - 10.3o am
Your first class will cost £9 but after that there will be the opportunity to buy classes in bundles of four classes for £30 payable by bank transfer.

Instructions for using Zoom to access classes:
Step one -choose a device that you will use to access the class. Mobile, tablet, laptop or pc. If you have a smart phone you could use screen mirroring to view the class on your tv or connect your laptop to your tv in order to achieve the same thing.
Step two - download the Zoom app if using phone or tablet or the Zoom software if using laptop or pc. In the app store it is called Zoom for cloud meetings or similar. If using a pc or laptop go to the Zoom website and look in resources to download Zoom for clients.
Step three - consider where you will locate yourself in your home. Somewhere you have the space to be on a yoga mat and can move freely, or if meditating somewhere you are able to either lie down to meditate or sit upright in a supported way. Consider how you will manage noise and interruptions from others in your household or whether you want to invite them to join the activity with you. Please understand that I can not in any way be held responsible for your safety when you are practicing yoga in your own home.
Step four - I will advise you of the meeting ID. Use this to access the session. The link can be used from 15-minutes before the start of the session.
Step five - you can choose to be visible to me during the session and to have your microphone muted using icons on your Zoom screen. For the duration of the class I will mute all participants microphones and un-mute them at the end.
Step six - enjoy!
When we emerge from the pandemic you might want to know that I also offer 1-2-1 Yoga movement sessions. My hourly rate is £50 or you can buy blocks of four classes for £180 (brings hourly rate to £45) or blocks of six classes for £240 (brings hourly rate to £40).
