8-week Mindfulness Courses (MBCT)

Mindfulness is growing in popularity in the UK now and for good reason. There is much evidence to support the fact that practicing Mindfulness can reduce the stress and anxiety and help prevent depression. In short it can help us to lead calmer, happier and more self-aware lives. MBCT is the only approach to Mindfulness to be included in the NICE guidelines as a treatment option for recurrent depression.

This course is for people who are ready to make a commitment to living a more Mindful life and to develop the tools and techniques and strategies to support this commitment. It is for you if you are wanting to establish a meditation practice as well as deepen your self-awareness and find new ways of working with stress, anxiety, low mood and overwhelm. The course is made up of a mixture of group exercises and guided meditation practices. Also group discussion and private reflections/journal keeping.

Each course has a maximum of 10 participants on it. There are eight weekly sessions lasting 2 hours each. Written handouts will be provided each week as well the guided meditation practices you will be using. To help you get the most out of the course there is an invitation for you to practice guided meditation at home throughout the course for up to an hour a day on 6 out of 7 days of every week.

The next group course will run on Saturday mornings in Mickleover from 12th October between 11.00 and 1.00 at The Bridge Centre for Natural Health in Mickleover.

The investment for a place on a group 8-week Course is £225.00 although there is an earlybird offer of £197.00 if you book and pay in full by 7th September 2019. Here is the link to book online. I will then get in touch with you to arrange to speak on the phone as I have a very gentle screening process I carry out before being able to accept you onto the course and would like to talk you through what the course involves in a little more detail.

In the meantime you could do the course 1-2-1 with me. This can be done face to face or using a video conferencing tool called Zoom or a mixture of both. Prices for 1-2-1 vary between £350 and £500 depending on how we structure it and on the venue we use. I can put together a price for a small group course too if this is something you would like to explore.
